Established in 1958, Arnold James (St. Albans) Ltd., has been successfully carrying out Building Services Installations including Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Automatic Controls, Water Services, Gas and Public Health Installations for over 50 years.

We are in a position to undertake work up to a value of £2,000,000.00 although offering the same high standards and quality on the smaller projects as well as the larger contracts.

Our operatives are all City and Guilds trained and registered with Gas Safe, OFTEC and REFCOM.  They are CSCS accredited and pride themselves on a high standard of workmanship.  These operatives are backed up by an office team with many years experience within the Building Services Industry.

Within the office we have the following facilities:

An Estimating Department which is capable of coping with a high volume of enquiries, design and build or consultant design at any value or size.

A Design Department to deal with the 'design and build' projects, Consultant Performance Specification Projects and client requested surveys.

A Contracts department to manage the installation of Consultant designed projects.

A Small Works/Maintenance Department to cater for direct customer planned and reactive maintenance.

A Commissioning Department to ensure all projects work to the client's satisfaction upon completion.

Our company is approved by many Councils, Health Authorities and Government Departments and we regularly carry out work for these clients as well as the many Consulting Engineers, Architects and Main Contractors with which we have built up a relationship over the years. A list of whom can be issued if required.

The company is an HVCA (Heating & Ventilation Contractors Association) member and has a regular inspection and assessment regime by the Association.

Our area of operation includes, but is not limited to, the South East of England.
